Individual Counseling
nested provides individual therapy to adults who live anywhere in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as walk and talk sessions in Charlotte, NC.
After an initial assessment, we’ll work together to create a schedule and plan that works for you.
Virtual sessions are fifty minutes in length and conducted via HIPAA-compliant video platform. Walk and talk sessions are 50 minutes. Telephone sessions are also available, if preferred.

Fees
Individual counseling is $175 per 50-minute session. nested is an in-network provider with Cigna, Aetna, Optum, and Carelon.
Payments are accepted via debit or credit card only and are due at time of service. A receipt of services (“superbill”) can be provided to request reimbursement from your insurance company.

Can I do online counseling?
Of course you can! In fact, we focus exclusively on online therapy. Your life is busy, and we want counseling to work for you. We offer both video counseling and telephone counseling sessions to clients. You can book an online counseling session here.
How long are sessions?

How often will we meet?
Honestly, that’s up to you! After an initial assessment, we’ll work together to create a schedule and therapeutic plan that works for you.
Many clients book weekly appointments to navigate stressful periods of life, and some book monthly or as-needed appointments when their mental health needs a tune up.
The goal is to support you on a path that eventually means you’ll only have sessions occasionally, if ever. That’s success!
How do I book a session?
Existing clients can request sessions through our client portal. Automatic reminders will be sent to your preferred email address.
New clients can book a session here.
How much will a session cost?
Individual counseling is $175 per 50-minute session.
As a private pay client, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate for services scheduled. This document will clearly outline your expected fees as nested is an out-of-network provider and you will be directly responsible for the fees associated with services.
Do you accept insurance?
nested is in-network with Cigna, Aetna, Optum, and Carelon. A receipt of services (“superbill”) can be provided to request reimbursement from your insurance company.
If your claim is approved, the insurance company will pay you directly.
How do I file with insurance?
Filing your superbill with an insurance company is generally a straightforward process.
A superbill includes all the necessary information for insurance claims, such as provider information, the services provided, coding for those services, and the costs. Typically, insurance carriers have claim forms you’ll need to fill out and attach to the superbill.
Steps for filing a claim are unique to each insurance carrier, but it’s usually pretty easy. Consult your insurance company’s website or call their customer service number.
If your claim is denied or not covered as expected, you can file an appeal. This process typically involves writing a letter to your insurance company, explaining why you believe the service should be covered and providing any additional supporting documentation.
What if I need to reschedule?
Your counseling sessions are time carved our especifically for you, so we request that you give at least 24 hours notice of a cancellation.
